I have been reading through the Terragen help (http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/) to try to understand how to do some basic terraforming of an island sim.
There is some fantastic information available but I don't unerstnad why the RAW file I downloaded from SL that represents my island looks so different in Terragen. As a result of that, I am concerned that changes I make in Terragen will 'break' the island.
Has anyone used Terragen specifically for terraforming land in SL? Are there any hints or tips specifically relating to SL? How about the publically available surface maps and terrains - any issues with using those within SL (not copyright related issues - just issues related to forming the land using an existing map).
