As I begin developing larger spaces, I was wondering how to translate layouts and building plans from Photoshop to Second Life. Are there any resources for advanced planning and building that cover photoshop measurements into SecondLife?
Currently I sketch out the landscape design and then just start designing in-world. Now that I have access to larger spaces, I'd like to evolve my design process.
Thank you for any assistance! Oque

I had done something that may be what you are looking for. I created a floor plan for a new build in photoshop and imported that texture. I then put down the "foundation prims" and put the floor plan texture on them. By using the snap grid in photoshop and scaling the floor plan so that it matched the SL snap grid, I was able to get exact placement of the elevation prims. Good luck.

You could use giant prims with a hi-res texture blueprint. I've used this method many times (though regular-sized prims for smaller builds). You can even use a cross-section blueprint to build vertical to the designed specs.
