So what would you guys say is the average Pay Rate for a builder Designer, I know it depends on the projects but can you give me any examples?

Personally, I use the following formula:
1) Figure out how much time it takes for you to build something (in hours and minutes.)
2) Assume you're getting paid about $10/hour for your building services, and figure how much $$ you earned.
3) Translate that amount into L$.
4) Divide that amount by 100 (or another number rperesenting the number of copies of that item you reasonable expect to sell.)
5) Charge that amount.
