Is it possible to isolate the walls i a house or a room så that you can sit inside those walls and chat whiout letting it outside the room or House.
And opf course the sam from outside in.
I want something similar to sound isolation to put in the walls.

Not possible. Though you can restrict chatter / sound to not go past your parcel borders.

From: Perl Hallstrom How do I handel those restrictions for a parcel. Where is it done and who can do it? Go to the About Land Window and check "Restrict spatialized sound to this parcel" - Checking this means that sounds from outside the parcel don't enter, and sounds from inside the parcel don't leave This can be done by the landowner or on groupland everybody that has the ability set in his/her group role. Shyan Note this isolates sound, does it also isolate chat? Given this feature, one could subdivide a piece of land within a larger parcel, to correspond to the room location and set this feature for just that room, or for several rooms so sound would could not be heard between rooms.

It does not isolate Chat since Chat is not sound but text based. The range for Chat is 20 mts., unless you Shout, the range for Shout is 100 mts.

more than 2 in an IM conversation
07-20-2007 13:22
As I have understood from the answers I have got. It is no possibility to restrict the chat. Everyone within 20 m can listen to the chat even if the parcel is restricted to not in or out sound.
An alternativ is tp set up an IM conversion including those in the room. Can I do that in an easy way. I dont want to create a special group for this every time I need it. I just want to easy establish a chat group.
An other alternative is to limit the reach for the chat to less than 20 M. Is that possible.

You'd have to include people back and forth each time your audience changes, so I wouldn't recommend it. 2) No, you cannot decrease the chat reach. But you can prevent other AVs from coming into your 20mts. space. Depending on your parcel size, make sure you and your friends are standing at least 20 mts. from your parcel boundaries and limit access to your parcel to those you want to include in the conversation.
