Hello to all!
I am making a street based on a specific theme, and there will be same design buildings to rent as stores.
Well, my idea is to have a store sign like a plain frame next to each door of the store, so the renters can rezz their business logo/texture there.
But I would like this to work in an auto way, without the need for the landlord to be online for this to work.
How can I make this? Of course the prim build for the sign is easy, but then for to be able to accept textures from only the tenants? Do I need to get some script?
If anyone could help me with this issue, that would be great!!
Thanks!

Hmmmmm... That seems like a lot of trouble to go to for a sign. Why not just create the framed area and then let your tenants simply drop their own sign (on a flattened cube) into it? That way, you will have signs that all have the same frame and dimensions, and your tenants will have control over what they put in the frames. No fancy script needed. The only downside is that is costs an extra prim per sign.
This is exactly what I have done as a tenant in each shop I have rented.

No, the tenant doesn't need to have any permissions for the frame object at all. You make the frame object and you keep all permissions. The tenant will not modify it and nobody else will either. The tenant rezzes a NEW cube, flattens it, and puts his sign texture on it. Then the tenant moves this new sign on top of your frame object, adjusting his sign's dimensions so that it fits in your frame. It's VERY easy. Your frame, his sign.... two prims.
