I made that once and called it a one-prim-umbrella. Wonder how many objects that one prim can be? It's already a lamp, fountain, and umbrella.

I've been selling one prim lamps in the Boardman Open Market for about a year.

Yes, the one prim lamp is not a big secret, but I can still remember how cool it felt to stumble across making one while fiddling with the shapes. I also have made a one-prim table from the 'tube' shape... and I have no doubt that I'm not even close to being the first one to do that, either.

Nice. The base of of your lamp looks so similar to my blue chrome version that we must be using similar textures. All the lamps, vases, and desks in the screen shot are one prim, except the two prim desk lamp with the shade.

If I recall, it is the blue chrome texture for the base on my lamp. Is it a GNU texture? I've had it so long I don't remember... I used a white fur texture for the shade, and a separate gold one for the trim on the shade. Its pretty cool how many different textures you can slap on those things.

And its scripted to turn on and off by touch, of course.

My versions use just the chrome texture, with a blue tint on the blue one. And they aren't scripted, just made of Light. I try to avoid scripts when possible (in my neverending, futile attempt to reduce lag). Though having them always lit doesn't help the servers much.

I have my own 1 prim lamps also. Here is the script I put in them, ain't much but if anyone wants a basic free light toggle script...

When you touch it, it toggles on or off - when it's on it will be made of light, when it's off it will be made of glass and tinted a little darker to give it a little contrast.

And in the pic, the 2 lamps are sitting on a 1 prim table... Mobius strip good, I like making the infinity-symbol, but I just googled "Klein bottle" 'cause I had no idea what it was - and it just showed me pictures of bongs. J/K ehe, seriously, how do you make that shape? I just messed around with a torus a bit with no luck, and haven't stumbled across that shape that I remember...

hmm, yes i never heard of a "Klein Bottle" till now, had a look oh google, not sure i cud do it with 1 prim probly do it with 2 prims tho i dunno only just seen this thred while at work will have to get home to try it
