So, I just made my first pair of sculpted boots after much faffing about, and am quite pleased with them. I've made them big, so that I can get the detail right, with a view to shrinking to fit. However, now I've linked all the bits together, they won't shrink any smaller than they are. Is there something simple I am missing, or is it because I've used some small prims for the detailing and need to reduce those separately??

Thanks

Somewhere in your design, you have one or more prims that at your current "shrink limit" are already at the minimum allowed dimension for x, y or z, which is 0.010 M. Look for something like a shoelace or an eyelet or a label or some other small detail. You'll have to increase that 0.010 dimension first, then you can shrink the thing more.

I once wanted to reduce a freebie set of roller skates to kid size. I tried and tried, and couldn't find why it wouldn't shrink enough. Then I finally located a single prim in the skate, under the sole, that was only 0.010 thick. I doubled that dimension, and was immediately able to shrink the skates to kid size.

You may find this little script useful.. I use it all the time when I'm trying to resize stuff I've bought http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Fix_Small_Prims

you may try to make a nano map for the smaller sculpts. Just change the center of the mesh and bake the map.
