I have a really neat Idea for a convention coming up and need some help setting it up.
In SL there is a virtual recreation of a hotel for the RCFM (search rcfm) the idea is a simple one. we will set up a plasma screen on a wall at the real hotel and log onto second life. with a webcam attached to it , on the other side of the wall in the SL hotel we will have a video display of the exact same size streaming the video from the real hotel. but at the same time we will be logged onto SL and able to see them from the same point of view. What we hope to accomplish is a virtual portal into both worlds, like a window had been cut into the wall into the second life universe and theirs cut into ours.
Any and all help in setting up this very unique connection between worlds would be great

From: Solion Lameth search rcfm Okay, I searched. Are you the Religious Coalition for the Freedom to Marry, the Rocket City FurMeet, someone using a remote controlled file manager, the Resource Center for Freedom of Mind, or the Rutland County Farmers Market? I suppose you might also be the Royal City Film Ministry or the Radio Club Foz do Mondego, although that last one's a stretch since you're not speaking Portuguese. Maybe you're Rock Creek Fluorspar Mining. I got it; you're talking about an optometrists convention, and the topic is the Retrocorneal Fibrous Membrane? Remote control fart machine? Red crowned fuzzy monkeys? Rancid crusty frozen meat? Rolled chicken fried mutton? Really cool funky man? I give up. What is it? Anyway, mixed reality events like the one you've got in mind are always cool. If you're looking for hired help, contact Server Cave. They're kind of the established experts at this sort of thing. www.servercave.com
