mysterious permission changes

Maybe it's me or maybe a bug. all I know is when I asked live help they quickly refered me to placing a bug report. Here's the problem I'm running into.

I created an object consisting of 31 prims. Every prim, script and texture has me as the creator and owner. The original object has full permissions where the next owner can modify, copy and sell or give away.

I place the item on the gound, (the original item stays in my inventory) make my changes and take this item back into my inventory.

Now the altered item says "no transfer"

Anyone else seeing this or is there something I'm doing wrong?
I've done everything but rebuild from scratch.

My best tip would be to triple-check that none of the prims has a no-transfer texture inside. When this has happened to me (several times), there was always one damned prim I forgot to replace the texture in.

i have been having this bug al day from people who bought weeks ago.
i have had to go through all my vendors and i cant even edit them or copy ect.. and i created and own the item...
8 people i have had to swap items for so this is definately a sl bug.

IF I retexture a prim from a non trans one to a one with trans mode - the ”owner” of that prim still are the first one (the non trans)..

So the only solution was for me to completely redo the prim(s) and ad the trans texture.. very ”funny” and very time consuming...


IF you ad a script in a prim.. its stay in it.. so even if you delete it from the prim the function of the script are in it.. solution = redo it from scratch.


”Nice” SL prim technic - will prob be away or better controlled some day in the future...

Thanks for the replys. I am going to rebuild my item from scratch without textures or scripts.

If the problem still persists then it's a bug with this new version. I haven't heard anything
back from Linden Labs yet.

I'll post my results.
