I am building a scripted Thingy that I'm going to sell, and it will contain a configuration notecard that the owner can modify.

Is it possible to make the Thingy itself no-mod and no-copy, make the scripts no-mod and no-copy, while still keeping the notecard modifiable?

I've noticed that when I view the notecard's properties, it does have full permissions set. The next owner also sees the notecard as having full permissions set, but still can't modify it.

Do I have to make the entire Thingy modifiable to let the next owner modify the notecard? :P

I think if you sell the 'Thingy' with the notecard already inside it, any no mod/no copy will transfer along with that. When I picked up a ZHAO HUD, it uses a notecard to define the animations, but they included a modifiable formatted Notecard in a box along with the HUD (in your case it would be your 'Thingy'). That way the permission attributes for the two could be kept separate. There were then intructions for the owner to modify the Notecard using their particular animations, and then to copy and paste (drag and drop) the modified notecard into the HUD. Basically, gather the modifiable Notecard, your scripted object, and some instructions into a box, each item with permissions as you want them, and then sell the box.

And is there a possibility to let a Group modify a notecard in an Object only the Owner can modify anything? (Object itself and containing script)? In the properties of notecard i can share with group but i cannot set a group there..any ideas? thanks in advance.
