Umm, I know I'm probably stupid for asking this.. I should know by now. But I don't. And I'm not sure if this is the right place to put it but oh well.

I want to know how you can place an object you've created such as wings or a tail or something on your avatar in the right position. Because I've tried with a stand, and it still doesn't work right. I don't know what to do, or if I am doing it wrong. Please help?

Thanks. :)

It really confused me too, but the answer is simple. After adding your attachment, right click on the object and choose edit. Then rotate & position it until it's in the right place. It will save the position when you take it off, so that the next time you wear it, the object will placed correctly.

linking parts

I can only assume you made thes wings yourself. The last part linked will set where the wings attached. so if you attached the tip of the wing not the part you want attached it your body you will not be able to center it the way you want. All you have to do is put the wings back down and unlink the part that is to be attached to your back then relink this part. Try againto attached them to your back, spine and it should work. :) Hope this helps

Also when wearing items it depends on if it has ever been attached before. If it was attached previously I think those "relative" settings show up when others wear it. If it has never been attched before often it can "hide" inside the avatar body if it is to small. I found out the last part with my ball gag I am working on. It would always attach and sink inside my head so I hadd to add a long prim to alter it and then unlink it.

I think your best option for that would be making a face skin.
