Hi there
I want to get some stools (as few prims as possible) that give the sitters a specific view once they have sat down - a view which I can set and save in the stool somehow.
It's for people to sit at blackjack tables without having to adjust their view - ie. as soon as they sit they get a perfect view of the table.
Does anyone sell or make or know how to make these?

Yes, it is possible. You can script the stool so it takes over their camera view when they sit, and gives a specific camera view. I haven't scripted this yet myself, but I have a dressing table that does this. You sit on the stool, and your point of view beomes that of a camera on the far side of a "mirror" on the vanity, this mimicing being able to see your face in a mirror.
Look for the LSL commands that control the camera.
