What is this P2P thing?

Before you think I posted to the wrong forum, I don't mean point to point teleporting. :D

This evening I bought a plot of land that had a house on it. I was checking it out and noticed something strange that I hadn't seen before. It will be easier to show what I mean.

Looking at the roof there seems nothing out of the ordinary (see Normal.jpg to see what I mean).

When I go to edit mode and select this one piece of the roof, there is displayed two spheres with a line between and a label that reads "P2P". (see With_P2P.jpg).

That one object is only one prim. I couldn't find an option in the edit window to turn it on/off. I think it might be a building tool, hence the post here.

The creator and owner of the object is the guy I bought the land from. He built the house. I IM'ed him and am still waiting for a reply. In the mean time, if anyone knows what this is, I'm really curious to find out.

Thanks for any help,

That is a special hinge: point to point. It's used for a more universal attatchment of two objects.

Look under hinges in your tools menu (i think that's where it is).

Thanks for the reply. The previous owner said, too, it had something to do with a hinge (it was her first build, a nice one at that). :)

I'm going to have to play around with these.
