Ok...How and which online radio stations can I use and find the URL to save to my land? I tried Shoutcast loved a station I found DL winamp as suggested and cannot find the URL in the file info of winamp. Can anyone help me? Looking for 80s Old Skool dance trance tracks and Indie alternative stations. Many Thanks...I know its prolly laughable but just one of those things Im never in SL long enough to learm ( Head stuck in Photoshop only log in to upload and deal with customer IMs) Thanks in advance!

In winamp, set the shoutcast station u want to capture the url for playing, then press and hold Alt followed by 3, this will give u the url |

Shoutcast.com (and other stream provider websites) usually let you download a .pls file (playlist).
Instead of directly opening those in your player (Winamp), it's also possible to download these to a folder (right click on the 'tune-in' link and choose 'save link as...').
They are essentially textfiles which can be opened in any editor and contain the URL(s) to the actual stream.

Get iTunes free from Apple, for PC or Mac.
it includes an extensive listing of different kinds of radio stations. You can find the url for these stations/streams in several different ways, here are two:
1. select a stream and then File: Get Info and it displays the stream url. if the edit button appeares you can click edit on it and cut/paste the url into seperate document.
2. drag and drop the stream onto your desktop, it saves there as an internet shortcut. right click on on it and select properties: web document: cut and paste the url out of that.
