From: Abel Balczo Could anyone give me some clue as to how to make my own teleporter please...i have some scripts...but i get tp'ed all over the place...i presume you have to use co-ordinates...but i don't know how to do that....thanx in advance Hi Abel, This might/should be better posted in the scripting section. But you did mention building and you can build these yourself. Its just a pad and insert the scripts or you can get really prim wasteful. If you have the freebee scripts for teleportation (and there are many different ones) you will indeed have to enter the coordinates into the script. Not knowing which one you are using or have generally look for an area in the script that has a field of numbers such as (123.123, 321,321, 123,321) To determine what your coordinates are to enter into the script you will need to right click and choose edit on the rezzed teleporter and note the coordinates at the top center of the screen, (i cant remember the colors but I think they are green blue and red.) Note them on a piece of paper and go to the other teleporter you made and carefully enter those exact numbers into the script. Then note the coordinates of the 2nd teleporter the same way and go back to the first and enter those numbers into the script. If you have done it correctly you will be able to teleport from one to the other. If not you may wind up who knows where and hopefully not in someones dressing room, If you hear a scream you know its not right. There are also a multitude of teleporters available that you can just rez and they will automatically find the other and set themselves up. Some are cheap and some not so cheap. happy tp'ing You can contact me inworld after 5pm sl time if you need some help.

you'll have to define your needs too, house and close range (~300m) teleporters can use sti targets, greater distances over coonected properties (like hig skyboxes) can use warppos (an abuse of set prim params), intra sim (grid wide) options will use map destination (it open the map to the desired location)... and whether or not you need them to be linked to other teleporters (generally only available for the first 2 types)...
then there are magic carpet/vehicle based 'teleporters'... all can be covered by someone in scripting tips.
