Is it possible to upload a sculptie that is 2 objects that do not touch?

If so will they be counted as one object or would you be able to move each of them independently of each other, even if you had to use the Edit Linked Parts tool?

It is possible to make a sculptie that appears to be 2 parts, but it is still considered to be 1 prim in all regards.

If you search this forum*, you will find that it is possible to make a single sculpty with 102 non-touching parts. It's still there at my place in in Tiretta. Of course it moves as one item, but if you could animate the sculpty map .....

Well, vaguely put...

Supose you start with a sphere. Choose one half and move it over to the right, so now you have a long tube with rounded ends. Then take all the edges that connect the two rounded ends and collapse them so that they all coincide exactly.

now the ends appear to be objects, and the zero width middle (because you collapsed them all together) disappears.

for real detail, look on YouTube for the wings 3D tutorial where Daniel Abernathy (I think it was) makes two interlocking links of chain that do not touch, but are in fact a single sculpty.

or here...
