Hello,

Not sure where else to put this. :) Does anyone know of a good tutorial on terraforming land? Web or in-world, either is fine.

Thanks!
SJ

edit: I should specify that I am looking for help with the in game tools, i don't own an island or anything.

There really isn't anything. Terraforming is a learn-as-you-go type of skill. The best way to learn is to clear your land of everything and start playing. Learn what each of the tools does, see how the land mesh reacts and find the right touch to get the effect you are looking for. Detail work tends to require a gentle touch, it is very easy to make huge changes in the land very quickly. Your first efforts are likely to be horrifying - don't let this stop you and don't panic :) Just keep working with the tools until you see how to shape the land, think of it more as sculpting with a broadsword :)

I've never seen one in-world or on the web, but there is one in a new book that just came out. It's called Second Life: A Guide To Your Virtual World by Brian White (Ansel Gasparini in SL).
