Quite a basic newbie question but how do you "unlock" an item you have locked??

Vey simple. Just click on it as you normally do to edit the item and unclick the locked box.

Yes i thought that Mrs Showdog but the edit box is completely blanked out. Everything that opens when you click the "More" box.

Hi Del.  If the edit box is completely blanked out, that sounds like the object is no longer selected. With the edit box open, click on the object again to highlight (select) it. You should now be able to unlock it. Another possibility is an asset server glitch, where it isn't sending the info to the sim or client fast enough. I've had that happen to me, where the lock/unlock box remained grayed out for a minute or so (sometimes longer) after I selected an item. In the end I just either waited until it finally responded, or just tried again later in the day. |
