I have completed my house but I am having a problem with putting in furniture. Whenever I try to put more than three objects inside I get "Can't create object because the parcel is full". How do I get around this?

How do I get around this? You may have run out of prim allotment. Go to "About Land" with no furniture and see what it says. _____________________

How do I get around this? Yeah, run out of prims on your parcel.. You can get around this either by buying more land in the same sim, which will probably mean you have to tier up and pay more monthly fees. Or to use lower prim furniture, or save some prims elsewhere.. GL! _____________________

Another possibility is that when you originally bought the land, the previous owner had a bunch of structures very high up in the sky and you, not knowing they were there, never had them returned before building anything yourself.

I have also seen objects left underground. You can turn off surface patch rendering in the debug menu to see what is down there.

Right click on ur land and choose about land
a panel opens Look on the General tab and see the size and name of your land etc Open the Objects tab and you will see how many objects ur parcel supports It also shows how many objects u can have if you have any other land in same sim as it all adds up Look at the list which says how many objects owned by parcel owner, group, or others If you have objects owned by others use the REfresh List button to see names of who owns them Use Return objects owned by others button to clear land of their objects if any BUT if any of these are your friend's objects and you do NOT want to send them back then DO NOT use the Return all objects button. Instead highlight the name you want in the list and then use return objects for THAT person only Once you have sent back anything else not wanted set 'auto delete others objects' to say 5 minutes and that will stop anyone else dumping stuff on ur land. If none of this applies your land is full, and u will either need a lower prim house, or more land _____________________

If your land IS full, IM me in-world and I would be happy to connec tup and help you reduce your primcount.
I found that 117 was plenty for a reasonable house and simple furniture. Unfortunately for my wallet, I am a builder of complex things, and I wanted a place where I could build without having to worry about outside distractions. I needed more land. Of course when I got it, I expanded my house too... But enough talk about ME... Let's talk about YOU... What are your needs with this house? Is it bigger or more complex than you really need? If all you need is place to store things, you will need a simpler structure than if you are going to be hosting parties but not storing things. Do you plan to have parties? You need to leave room for each av you plan on having at the party. Do you have any wasted primcount? There are a lot of things that can be done with textures that most new builders try to accomplish with prims. (Like stairs... Worst case I saw was a Spiral stair with 37 prims to an upper floor when 3 would have done just fine.) As I mentioned, feel free to IM me in-world and I will be happy to look at your build and try to help you cut back on your primcount. |
