With the latest ... "fix"... how dragging and dropping a texture now passes through transparent objects...
How in the hell do we drag and drop a texture on a transparent object, like when we only want one side to have a texture?!?!?!
If I ever wanted a texture on just one side of a transparent object, I would apply a 100% texture to the whole thing, and then drag-and-drop the texture I wanted on the one face. Now I can't do that because the texture goes through the object to whatever's behind it.
How do I apply a texture to one side of a prim now without have to use a script!?!?!

Edit object, "Select Texture", click on side(s) you want to change, ...

I posed a similar question in this thread: /invalid_link.htmlWhat I am doing is making the entire object alpha and then making each face, that I want to apply a new (mostly transparent) texture to, blank. That way it prevents your new texture from passing through. I do not see the advantage to this new "feature".

I don't see the advantage either, but i also don't see what the big deal is. You can still use "Select Texture", just like always. I might be biased though since most of my builds are not exactly simple, so I end up using "Select Texture" 99.99% of the time anyway. I almost never use drag & drop.
