Is there an easier method to selecting muliple prims of working with or connecting things that are fairly complicated? Would be nice if you could isolate and then drag the cursor over all the items to select, but...

Scotters, I am not entirely sure I understand your question, but I will attempt an answer for you. You can, in fact, draw a bounding box around multiple items to select them. The trick is that you already have to be in edit mode before this becomes available.

So, let's assume you want to select all of the prims for house you have made. Right click on one prim, and select Edit. Now, using the mouse, drag a box around the entire house. This will select all of the prim within the box. You can also use the shift key to add items to your selection in the standard-Windows way.

There are a couple of things that will make this easier. First, you may want enable your camera controls and rotate your camera up high, so you are looking straight down upon your build. This will make it easier to isolate your selection. And secondly, you may also want to go under the tools menu and set up your client to select only your items.

I hope this helps you. You know, this is one of those kinds of things where different people have different ways to the same end. Maybe somebody else can provide another way to do this that is easier than what I have suggested.

Scotters, if you ever need help, you can drop me an IM in-world. I would be happy to give you a hand. Good luck!
