How to Select Individual

I have a house that is a kit of several parts that is linked to gether using a square locating column or pin. When I have finished linking the part, I am instructed to remove the locating pin, by selecting the part (which has 19 prims), and then Tool > Select Individual, then click on the locating pin. This the pin is selected for unlinking from the rest of the group, leaving the other 18 prims left in the group still linked together.

However, I have a problem fininding this function. Although I see "Tools" in the menu bar when I select/edit a group, but dont see "Tool" (note spelling) nor anywhere the function "Select Individual".

Can anyone guide me as to how unlink from a group a component prim such as this locating pin?

I have basic building skills like moving, rotating, etc.

You need to open the build window and select "Edit linked prims". Click on the "pin" and press Ctrl-Shift-L.

There is no "Select Individual" in the building tool, the instructions seem to be badly written.
