How do I make a curved bucket handle?

I just need a basic arch handle on a wishing well bucket. I don't know enough yet about cutting, twisting, etc with shapes to know what to try. I've seen plenty of these on other buckets, so I don't think it would be that hard.

Thanks!

I have never tried it but I would try a half cylinder and hollow it and then reduce one of the axis to as small as possilbe..................can't remember which axis but the one that would make it narrowerer leaving a thin curved arch.

The way I figure it out is the default tool is move..........and look at the colors of the arrows and then look at the axis that relates to. The same axis in the other tools will be the same colors. For instance if you want to narrow the prim in the same direction as the blue arrow in the move tool that same axis will be what you want to adjust in any other tool.....................such as size. :)

Did I thoroughly confuse you? I'm a novice myself and about 99% self taught. If I confused you, I'm sorry.......but someone here will have a more exacty way. :)

So you can do it using several different starting PRIMS.
With a Sphere, flatten it, hollow it, and path cut it.
With a ring, use the path cut and increase the hole in the middle.
A torus is similar.

Spend an hour at the "IVORY TOWER of PRIMS"...it'll teach you all this and more and save you TONS of time later. Find it in search, or ask for directions from anyone who's been building for awhile. ;)

Cool. Thanks. I've spent a little bit of time at the Ivory Tower of the Prims, but I haven't had time to get back. I'm in the middle of a project right now, and time is kind of crucial. I want to take the NCI building classes too, eventually.

Thanks for your suggestions!
