Who likes to excersize their right to bear oversized, ego enhancing weapons? I have that side of me too (my own MG is one of my prized objects, next to the former over priced CV carrier and F-22 raptor, lol) but please, DO NOT INDULGE AT EVENTS UNLESS THAT IS THE POINT OF EVENT! It's also annoying to be flying around, and find a random madperson shooting at anything that moves, so to this end, i propose building a Second Life Armory to do do a couple of things, show off all your cool weapons ( no selling w/o builders permission, they will be locked up in the Armory Commons, in major armor cases) and test fire any and all weapons scripts (hopefully leading to more balanced, realistic in terms of technical firing specs) at a weapons range proper. It will also have a firing pit for testing explosives, and a missle range (hopefully) for testing all your ICBM needs. This wont be major, just a place to allow the casual NRA member to practice their con. rights to bear arms w/o atagonizing and disrupting the rest of the public. The SLA (Second Life Armory) will also be working on an anti-griefer/disruptor device that does the following. [Level 1] IM's everyone in general vicinity to "CHILL OUT" (in same capital letters) [Level 2] sprays the patented (not yet, hehe) Anti-Movement Nuero Toxin, meant to disrupt all animations, or at the very least, spam every channel to the point of major lag. My apologies to the Lindens and everyone else, but it will atleast get the offending parties to take notice. And last but not least [Level 3] The ultimate in Anti-Griefing technology, and the by far most lethal and extreme, it alters land to have damage, and then, if griefers fighting don't kill themselves in combat, it will accept and execute (pun intended) a "beyond salvage" order on greifing parties. If this device does actually work (inworld, as opposed in my grandeuristic imagination), then ill probably hand it over to the lindens, as it probably offers too much temptation to mere ego bound mortals such as I. lol, anyway, talk to me ingame or email me to either comment, critique, or flame. This sounds like a great idea i was thinking about maybe a target range with dummies that are affected by bullets. I love building guns and my group the GunSlingers would love to help you out and brainstorm with you so find me in game sometime I mostly hang near my tower in the Da Boom area near the water. Hope to hear from you soon !

I have the crude beginnings of a range in Stanford (in the Outlands). It is west of Fort VonLenard and south of Nexus Nash's warehouse, up in the air somewhat.

It's 10x100 and has various targets set up. But I repeat that it is crude as I have not had the time to refine the target scripts.

Feel free to try it out, there is an info station explaining how it works at the western end.

than you're about 10 steps ahead of me, hehe. ill turn over some weapons to ya to hand out (or sell, if u wish), i just wanted to avoid public "displays" of ordinance at events (again, unless that's what the event is), anyway, for anyone else interested, id head over ther, my own "range" is incredibly lackluster, although there is a free M60 availible (does damage too, hehe) but otherwise just IM if u want it, no need to bother dropping by.

The disfunctional weapon that you were talking about that freezes the avatar on the sim would be labled greifing. and to legaly put that publicly you would need premission(and certification). the public armory is a good idea, however you would need to put some regligations on it to make it legal, like no sim-crashers/hacks. due to no land has complete freedom, due to the laws of the game. however if you need help starting this armory up, i would be glad to help.
