here is a news I have: =================== January, 2008. Archipelis announces "SL Exporter", a software that converts 3D models from Archipelis Designer format into Linden Labs' Second Life (SL) format. With SL Exporter, you can easily create models in Archipelis for use in SL. It is a standalone utility, available for models created in Archipelis Designer. With Archipelis SL Exporter you get the power of Archipelis Designer technology (i.e. creating 3D models simply by drawing their 2D outlines and shapes) applied to Second Life, thus you have the best and easiest way to create new, unique and realistic SL content. The price of Archipelis SL Exporter is 5 USD (Archipelis Designer, 55 USD now). For more information, please visit www.archipelis.com and www.archipelis.com/slexporter/index.htmlBest regards, The Archipelis team. www.archipelis.com

Awesome! I'll be trying that out within the next couple months ^_^
Sounds like a cool program in general!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-! took me only 5 minutes to install and another 5 to test my first sculpty. Your software is the simplest, easiest sculpty generator so far. A 2 year old kid could use it... well maybe not, but that is a great software. Well worth the money!

Very interesting organic modeler!.
It'll be great for rapidly creating bulbous forms like whales and dinosaurs etc. Although not so great for the more familiar and detailed forms like humans.
and I just love the fact that it has a script that can import an entire model.
Well done guys!

Well, I just finished playing with the demo for what was going to be 20 minutes and turned into an hour and a half. Love the interface! Different, but very fast and intuitive.
My first thought was "How is this different from PloppSL?", and while there are similarities, this is much more powerful (not a critique of PloppSL, which is a tremendously fun program and free besides).
Perhaps I missed something though, and I could not discover how to move shapes along more than the lateral axis. The video shows a penguin tail made at right angles to the wings, so I am sure it can be done.
I'm assuming with the full version, the texture can be saved, worked on in Photoshop, then exported to SL.
I think the best use of this is to create the rough shape, then import the obj file into the 3D modeler of your choice, smooth/tweak it up, then export to SL.
