Hello guys, this is my first post in the forums. I'm relatively new to SL and I'm already building AV's and other stuff. The time has come that I want to put them up for sale at my own vendor in a rented space. I'll be using the SVN vendor to show off my creations and want to use the holo feature it has to temporary rez the AV the customer is interested in . In order to display the whole AV I would have to take all the pieces and put them together as a single object in the world, not attached to the body. Right now I'm attempting to do this by posing my guy and putting the seperate attachments on the place where they should be, after that I'll link it all together and I should have a nice demo model of the AV. This method is however quite time consuming and is prone to errors. I have searched for the forums but couldn't find anything that would mean an easier way of doing this, does anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance,

I know what you're asking and it's a cool idea. I've seen it done for things like furniture sets (T&S Designs has some set-ups like this) but never for avatars. This isn't exactly what you're asking for, but I thought I'd offer it as a quick-and-dirty alternative while you figure out the more complicated stuff: You can make a single-prim cut-out of a fully-dressed avatar and display that instead, and you can even script it so it will turn to face the closest avatar. I hope you find out how to achieve what you were initially asking for though.

I'd recommend attaching a small box (ea 0.1) to each location. Make the boxes parent. Sit on something that gives the desired pose. Then check edit linked objects. Set the grid to whatever the box size you decide to use. Then start moving the boxes so they form a column snappin them to grid. Once that's done just drop the items. Then restore the column unattached. Link it all together, then unlink the boxes. And ur done
