Hello. I was browsing around sl and found loads of guitar shops. Since then, I've been looking all over for tutorials on how to build these guitars. No luck! If anyone knows of a tutorial that is simple (i'm a complete n00b), or can possibly show me how to create one I would be much obliged. I am willing to pay.
Thank you Sammy Sturges

Well I'm going to assume you're probably fairly new at building so I would suggest checking out the Ivory Tower. There are some good self-tutorials for new builders to learn how to use the tools to manipulate prims. (So yea, basically you're looking at some pictures and text and following along on your own) A general 'how to make a guitar' question could have a ton of answers as there are a ton of guitar shapes =) It could range from anything as simple as a traditional acoustic guitar that could be made quite easily with a few cylinders and cut, to electric ones that would require a bit more abuse of taper and shear

I've also seen a YouTube vid of an SL session in which someone makes a guitar. I can't recall WHO did it--but i think it was a Linden.
The build happens REALLY fast, but is fascinating to watch. I stepped through it with the pause button just to figure out a couple of the techniques.

From: Sammy Sturges I am willing to pay. Since you are willing to pay, go and buy a guitar that interests you. Once you have it, you can mimic the shapes used to make it - even if it is no-modify. There are some tricks you can use with the edit tools to see individual prims of a linked set. Once you can see a prim on its own, you can try to make the same shape. You can learn the technique by starting with two cubes, link them together, and then explore the edit tool to find a way to select one of the cubes on its own. Once you have figured that out, try the technique on something that is not yours or on something that is yours and no-modify. You will not be able to determine things like the prim’s type (cube, sphere, etc), or its size and rotation - but you will be able to see the individual prim. Once you have that, it is a matter of experimenting to try to get the same shape. A side effect of this is that you’ll be able to see some of the clever ways people use color and textures to enhance an object, keep its prim count low, or make seemingly impossible shapes. This type of exercise takes a lot of patience, trial and error. If you stick with it, you'll have a very good understanding about how to create various shapes and you'll gain an appreciation of how much skill is necessary to make something like a guitar. -2fast
