Hey Folks, Sorry if this has come up before. I tried search but couldn't get any useful hits. If I take, say, a cylinder and give it a texture. And then I set a begin and end cut path. Suddenly I see the nasty default wood grain texture on one of the cut surfaces. How do I make that go away and just use the texture I specified for all sides? I've tried nearly every setting. What am I missing? Many thanks, Jaymin

After you cut the cylinder, select it, and apply your texture.
Alternatively, if you want to affect just one surface at a time, turn on the Select Texture radio button on the editor, and then make you'll be able to click on just one side at a time. You can then also use shift-click to add to or subtract from your selection if you want to select multiple surfaces at once.
Be aware that SL has been suffering some packet loss issues and other problems lately, and one of the symptoms has been texture assignments failing to take hold. If you try to apply a texture, and it doesn't take, try again.

Doh! A setting I missed. That's awesome. I fixed up the spilling textures on my ethership and it looks much better. Many, many thanks! Jaymin
