New to building and I have a question about textures. How can I get the ceiling on the first floor to be a different texture from the floor of my second floor when they are made of the same prims? Any help would be appreciated!

In the Edit window there are buttons running down the right hand side of it. One of those buttons is * Select Texture *.

Check that button, and you can choose each seperate face of the prim you are working on. :)

If I select the object and then Edit from the pie menu, a window appears, but there are no buttons down the right hand side. Where is the Edit menu to which you refer?

Open the Edit window (Ctrl+3)

You should see this:

See the white arrow? check that button, then you can apply seperate textures to each face of the prim by clicking them individualy.

Edit:

I'm sorry, i said Right hand side. It is infact LEFT handside lol.
