Similar to the Move Copy except it copies the prim when you rotate. Useful for preserving the pivot point (for example when you make a propeller).

So how exactly do you make good use of this? I've been havin a hard time with this one. Sounds like it could be useful if I got it right, heh.

If you've seen those plants/fires/trees that people make from flat boxes with the textures of the plants/fires/trees, then they make a copy and rotate it in the same place. Could be used for that I guess... also handy if the thing you want to rotate copy is not easily placed on the grid, so you can just rotate copy it in the same position. |

(Alternatively) sounds like this gives the same effect as doing a usual shift drag copy, then ctrl-z undoing the drag, which puts the new copy in exactly the same place as the original. You can then rotate the copy.

Wait a minute. How long has Rotate Copy been in the editing interface? I've been shift-copying objects, hitting Ctrl+Z to return them to their original position, and then rotating them. This would certainly save me some time, because I have this sick fascination with building radial structures.

Hmmm. What are the keystrokes required to make it work?

Interesting. I've tried rotating the object and then clicking to copy, but the new prim has the same rotation as the old one.
I wonder if it even works. _____________________
