Someone please help... I built a building, but now I need to make a smaller model. I don't want to have to build the whole thing over again, but in a smaller size, as it took me weeks to build the original and I'm on a deadline for a contest. I tried selecting the whole thing and trying to shrink it via Ctrl-Shift in Build mode, but it won't let me shrink it at all. Can someone PLEASE help me? It's driving me crazy...

Are there parts of your build which, by shrinking, would become smaller than the smallest limit? For example, if you have, in your house, a very thin window, you won't be able to shrink it much, because it will shrink in all directions (correct me if I'm wrong!). So it will quickly hit the 0.01 size limit... and the whole thing will stop shrinking. At least that's what I understand.

The ablility to shrink an object made of multiple prims is limited by the smallest prim, specifically no prim can be shrunk below 0.01m on any side without prim torture. Also, if there are any locked items in the selection it will prevent you from shrinking it.

To expand on what Raindrop said; make your smallest prim dimensions .100 instead of .010 and you will be able to shrink it 10 times before it hits the minimum 0.010 prim size limitation.

I'd add to that that any really small prims, or those that would lose their identity by having sizes upped to 0.1m, could probably be safely deleted for a model.
