How high can you build?

I used to build at 700m with no problems. I am having problems at that height since 1.6.

At what height do you build?

The technical limit should be 768 m, altho I haven't tried to place prims this high yet in 1.6. I dunno if there are tricks you can do to exceed that level, such as link long prims together in some Tower of Cyberbabel.

I rode a cube up to 768M just the other day, so I know you can move objects that high. I didn't try to create anything while I was up there though. If it's not working for you to create at 700+, you can always create at a lower altitude and then move everything into place.

the highest altitude that I've been able to set prims is 768 meters....but...when moving those prims placed at that altitude via cursor, they seem to automatically bounce or adjust themselves to a lower altitude...not that much lower...but still..low enough to be out of kilter with the build. You have to go back into the actual prim data box to type in the 768 again...if you're a stickler for that exact height...

to save on headache meds, I prefer to build just a BIT lower....:)

Yes, 700m used to be the limit at which you could build without problems. Has anyone else found that the limit has moved lower since 1.6? I guess I will try 600m and see how it goes.

If you wish, after you're done building, I can give you a script to make them go higher than that. I think the real limit is around 4096m.

I have been building a skyhouse at 600m w/o incident for about 3 days now.

I've been having problems at 600m and 500m.

A Linden just told me that since 1.6, the limit for building without problems is about 250m.

I hope they fix this.

Isn't that also about the unaided-flight ceiling?

I just built a skybox 16km2 above 1/4 of a private sim at 600m and furnished it with out much of any problems other then those I faced at 0m also.
