Hello! I just started a few days ago on SL, haven't got much L$ at the moment, only got some from the survey's. Basically, i'm looking to buy a plot of land (which I don't mind buying the L$ for), and build a house on it, but I was wondering, once I buy the land I wouldn't have a clue how to build anything on it! Is there like a beginner's guide on how to build stuff? Thanks for any help!  |

Welcome to SL. I'm happy to say that there are tons of free classes.
To find them, use the Search menu at the bottom of your screen.
Then choose the Events tab and under type of Event, choose Education.
Lots and lots of building classes!

Don't overlook Ivory Tower as a resource for learning to use and manipualte prims. They have numerous lessons that you can collect and work on at your own pace.
I don't have a landmark handy but you should easily find it in search.
Also, something I found very useful when I started learning to build, find a freebie house or two. Rez them on your land and take them apart. This should give you a feel on how to you use various sizes and shapes of prims together.
