Me and my friend are making a store on a plot of land of 1536 sq m (or somehting like that) and i have a few questions:
1) Is this enough land to make a store?
2) Me and my friend are making most of the stuff sold there, but also we want other people to IM us so that they can sell their product there. We are thinking about charging weekly for them to host an item. What would be a good price to charge?
3) Is there a vendor that allows the profit to be split in half between two people (for objects that me and my friend made)? Please provide specific links or names.
4) Is there something that would allow people to be able to host an item, and they be charged per week, and it gives them the time they have to pay and stuff, and if they don't pay in time then they dont get to host their item or is there something similar that does this? Please provide links or its name, no matter what price.
Thank you for any help!!!

1) Yeah, probably, unless you're selling houses meant to fit on a 2048. 1536 is a pretty nice chunk of land. Assuming it's a reasonable shape.
2) Depends on how many prims you'll be able to offer them. 1536 is a good SIZE, but depending on what you're up to, you may not have many prims to rent.
3) Many do this. There's a plugin for JEVN you can get, or you can attempt to write your own or source a cheaper, single-purpose alternative.
4) Um......probably not. On a 1536, you're not going to be hosting so many people you can't stay on top of it.

Don't use Jevn. I have yet to hear a good word about it. Use Apez. At Apez.biz.It will do everything you want and more. They even have classes on how to operate the vendor. As for size, it really depends on what you are selling. But thats about 300 prims so you should be good provided you dont eat half on the building. as for hosting, you are thinking a kiosk, and you dont have enough space or prims for that. Hell, I'm a 3072, and I barely do, if I wanted to.

Someone tell me how this is a building question as opposed to a business advice one.

I think ill just buy a cheap hologram temp rez vendor (200 L$ or less) and modify it to split commisions.
If i want to sell other peoples items and get a certain percentage comission of the profit, what would be a good percentage?

There's a vendor script in the Scripting Library forum that does what you're asking for... /54/36/13457/1.html
