i have been editing a prebuilt house and as i neared completion i noticed that when i walked through part of th build i was walking over something about 1m tall that didnt really exist
it extends through a wall and is about 1m above the floor but i cant see it to get rid of it
i turned on view transparents and tried from all angles to highlight anything near my feet but to no avail
any help or has anyone else experienced this?

I've had this happen before. Usually it's because of a cache discrepency. The client thinks there's an object there, but the server doesn't, or vise versa. Clearing cache and restarting usually fixes it.

I had the same problem with stairs in my prefab house i rent. The designer had to put out a new version of the house for my landlord to put in, with tp's to first and 2nd floor. It was like there was an invisible block that surrounded the whole stair case.

Wasn't there a thread a while back about scripted rotations on child prims sometimes producing a child prim with its physical bounding box and client-side appearance out of whack? This had apparently been scotched (in 1.6 or 1.7?) but is it possible there's some left-over misrotated prims in some builds just lying in wait for you to rotate them?

when using edit linked prims ive ajusted 1 or 2 prims and whala a bump. I went back and isolated the offending prims and unlinked that section, when i did the prims i moved up or down snapped back to their original place. As seperate prims i repositioned them. linked back together, and got rid of the bump
