We are looking at developing "frames" that would read a user's snapshot folder and display the snapshots continuously as artwork to be displayed in someone's virtual home or office, or to be carried as a "photo wallet". Would this sell? What do you like about the idea? For how much would you buy it?

Name ideas we have are "Bragging Rights", "Slideshow", and "Dorian's Frame". Which do you like best? What are other ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Kaia,

I have scripted such a frame (for my own house) and I'm sure there are already such frames in the market.

Doesn't mean you shouldn't create your own styles of frames. If you'd like, you're welcome to use my basic "frame", make it more stylish and sell them.

It isn't possible for an object to automatically retrieve all pictures from the user's snapshot folder, because objects can't interact with the user inventory at all.

The user can, however, drag and drop images into the object's inventory. The frame then cycles through these images. This method may be better anyway because it lets the user select which images to show, rather than all of them. But, it's one thing your customers must do, so you need to provide instructions when selling the frame (not a big deal.)

I can't tell you how much it would sell for... not much, but if you make nice frames in different styles, there will be those who would purchase them for a reasonable price.

Is a sample script that will do what you want. Drop it into the frame or wallet. Drop in the pictures. TOUCH and you're there.
