Thanks for posting this tutorial, Zee. I have been curious how people are converting premade and other complex objects to SL. Now I know at least one way it can be done.

No problem. In fact the author of AC3D has just today put up a scripted object for free on SLExchange for converting Tris to Prims. I haven't tested it yet, but I will try to tonight.

What does that mean? It converts tris to prims? You mean each triangle mesh becomes an individual prim???

very nice link TY!
I use blender but this tut really applies to any 3d program.. the SLX product.. looks like something like prim.blender for AC3D -whyroc _____________________

Another scuplted prim example of AC3D output

On the subject of Sculpties and AC3D I thought I would let everyone get a peek...
Zora's working on an example Forumla 1 car using sculpted prims. It's 30 prims so the idea is to make it a drivable car as well... If you go to our home on Areumdeuli http://slurl.com/secondlife/Areumdeuli/85/94/105 ...then head direct east from the landing point you'll see some cannons, and for now you'll see the F1 car/work in progress. |
