A new version of DAZ Studio has just been made available at Download.com.
This version includes updates to the BVH exporter to fix issues with importing animations into SL.

Mac - http://www.download.com/DAZ-Studio/3000-2187_4-10759530.html?tag=lst-2-1
1. Create your animation in Studio.
2. Choose File > Export from the menu.
3. Change file type to .bvh, name the file and click on Save.
4. In the export dialog, click in the box next to "Second Life Compatibility."
5. Click in the E column next to each item you do not want to export. The E will be removed indicating that the node will not be exported.
6. Click on Accept.
7. Open the bvh file in SL and test to check for speed.
8. If too fast, open the BVH file in a text editor.
9. Search for the phrase 'Frame Time' and replace the value with the desired frame rate. Determine the frame rate by dividing 1 by the number of FPS, for example 30 FPS would be 0.0333333.
10. Save the BVH file and test in SL.
Word of Caution: While the SL compatibility BVH files can be loaded into Poser and should work correctly, when saved out of Poser it is unrecognizable by SL and will cause the figure to explode when imported back into Studio.
