117 per 512 M2 of land, 15,000 per sim. Take whatever percentage of the whole sim you own, and multiply 15,000 by that % to get your prim limit.

For example, 1024 M2 of land is 1/64 of a whole sim. Multiply 15,000 by 1/64, and you get 234.375. A 1024 M2 parcel is allowed 234 prims.

A private sim owner can, within limits, change the allocation per parcel, but not per sim. If they set the "Object bonus" for the sim to something other than 1.00, they can allow more per individual parcel, but when the 15K is gone, it's gone... If they set the object bonus to 2.00, then a 512 M2 parcel wiuld be allowed 234 prims. But when half the sim was sold as 32 each 512 M2 parcels, each using their allowed 234 prims, there would be zero left over for the rest of the sim. Hence some sim owners will sell "Double Prim Land", by allocating half the sim to prim-free ocean areas, and setting the object bonus to 2.0.

Correct me if I am wrong.. but I thought at one time a person could purchase a double prim sim from LL... 30,000 prims. This I'd be interested in

Not true. There has never been sims with more than 15,000 prims sold by LL. You can get less prims though.

There are the older city sims, 4 of them, that have double prim plots, but I beleive this is acheived by allocating the unused prims on the Linden owned land to the saleable plots. Same trick as the prim bonus on private islands.

they pull it off well, too. there are no empty "just grass" areas. the prim land is used for the infrastructure like canals and trolly lines.
