Being relatively new to SL, I have a question about property permissions. I built a store and I want to let two friends set up their vendors on my property. I don't want to charge them rent and I want their vendors to give them L$ when something in them sell. I could not figure out how to let their prims stay. I made a group with them, but I can’t find how to give them permission without giving them full editing rights. Any advise?

If you click the bar at the top of you screen where the sim name is,a window will appear. Click the 'Objects' tab in that window and somewhere is an adjustable variable of how long other peoples objects stay on your land before they get auto returned. If you set that variable to 0 (zero) your friends vendors shouldnt ever get returned.

I wouldn't recommend turning off auto-return because you'd quickly find your place filled with litter, especially if you're selling boxed items that people will need to rez in order to extract. You'd be suprised how many slobs there are in SL who don't clean up after themselves. If you want your friends to be able to place objects, but not have full land rights, it's easy. Make a group with you as the only officer, and your friends as members. Deed the land to the group. As the officer, you'll retain control of the land. As members, your friends will be able to build with immunity to auto-return, as long as their objects are set to the group.

You can use group ownership of the land to let them build there, if you create a group with you as the officer and your friends as members, and deed the land to the group.

Remember, your friends must be wearing the group title when placing their vendor on the group land.

Again, as Chosen said earlier, be sure only you are an officer of the group, to protect your land.
