Please help. I have bought a Portland house for newbie first land. Base and main buildings up ok.
However, if I sit on floor I fall through it. If I attempt to unpack or drop an item in house it says 'cant create object because the parcel is full.'
I also have to apend some crescents to a ball shaped sphere which later form doors, lights etc.
As soo as I put them on they disappear and reapear in Lost Property.
There is also the instruction to 'use 'select individual' radio button (sic), slice each pie slice and the base sphere and unlink only the pie slices and sphere.' HELP!
Homeless newbie x

I am a bit lost.. but I will take a stab at it.
You can only have a just over 100 PRIMS on your first land. When you exceed your set amount, all other new objects or "Prims" will be returned to your inventory.
This is a way to get you to buy more land and pay more land fees. you will be very limited on your choice for a home or finishings due to this restriction. You might want to check out a prefab home builder named Damani. he makes very nice low prims homes for practicly nothing.
Your stuff might be falling through the floor because for what ever reason that object (your floor) is set to phantom. You can correct this by right clicking the object and going to edit. then go to the "more" tab. then the "object" tab. be sure it object is not set to phantom.
As for your other concerns and questions... I could not piece together what you were talking about.

Thanks... this has helped a lot. Clearly I have saved up for too loaded a house.
I think the instructions had been translated from German. The pics. showed a hovering sphere to which attached various coloured segments. Then came those dreaded instructions.
But thanks again... will get a more modest building.

You are most welcome. Good luck with the German Sphere of confusion.

Hi Jiffy! I'm sorry to hear about all the problems that you've run into with the house. I think you may have bought from one of the older boxes, which has outdated instructions in it - my apologies. I've not been able to get inworld much, if any lately due to RL work (14hr days kill SL time) - but, when I do get in-world, I'll contact you so I can drop you a new version of the house (with proper instructions - no German! ). And thanks to Sebastian for solving the missing prim problem!

I like to help out newbies, contact me in world and I will give you a low prim house that I developed just for small plots of land, only 29 prims for the house. See this thread for information on the house. /invalid_link.html
