I'm making a custom Dalek Avatar for a friend. The only problem is that the head needs to only rotate left and right. (Z-axis) How would I go about doing this? Once it attaches, it inherits the movements of the avatar's head, so it would tilt and look all around, and generally be very wrong. :)

Thanks.

A custom animation would fix this, as only way to control an avie..

Would this handle the movement of the head when it follows the mouse?

Yes, you can lock the neck, but let the head move, so would follow the mouse, but with no neck movement..

Ok. I know this has to be done with poser and is probably an animation question. I tried setting the keyframes on all parts except the head in a 2-frame looping anim. First frame being the default. However when I imported it into SL, the upper body and neck still moved. I set priority on the anim to 4. Is this wrong?

Though I think this is evidently an animation forum's issue, anyway, refer to Archanox Underthorn's comment.

Hope this helps you.
