How can you build buildings with curved faces and lines. im talking more than working within the constraints of a quarted cylinder stretched to 10m max. Are there any tools that will do it for me bareing in mind i would like to have a surface that varies itself on x,y and z axis. If thats not clear what i mean image search for selfridges birmingham. That sort of curving.

Thanks

There is a script that generates parametric surfaces, and another one that generates bezier curved walls. Perhaps one of those would help you.

Search the form for "Bezier".

however, be aware that these types of curves are made from lots of small, straight pieces, so they do not always look as good as you might like.

Hi:)

Talk to Cadroe Murphy. He is the guru when it comes to tools for building. His Bezier curve generator is probably what you want

Anything that exceeds what you can do by cutting, hollowing, streaching, dimpling or otherwise torturing the shape of standard prims is done by using a lot of smaller standard prims. You can not, in any way, make the equivalent of a single prim mesh sheet that can be deformed into a complex curve while still remaining only a single prim.

For example, Cadroe's Bezier Lathe tool will let you make an "onion dome shape"... but only if you're willing to spend hundreds of prims to get it.
