Another Q... Is there a way to increase the number of objects a parcel of land can hold?

From: Ambrose Wollongong Another Q... Is there a way to increase the number of objects a parcel of land can hold? You can buy more land in the same sim as that lot, or you could buy one of those temp on rezer items from SLexchange.com

From: nimrod Yaffle You can buy more land in the same sim as that lot, or you could buy one of those temp on rezer items from SLexchange.com While the "temp on rez" devices can assist in circumventing the parcel prim limits, they also assist in lag. Land has a prim limit for a reason, and that is to reduce the amount of load on the server, and provide a better experience for the rest of the SL citizens. Using a device to fill out a 512m parcel with 300 prims of furniture, for example, is unfair to the rest of the residents of that sim. It is my understanding that "Temp on Rez" was intended for prims that were not intended to remain in world for more than a very short time... such as bullets, cannonballs, etc. If we were intended to have more than the land/prim ratio allows... why would there be a land/prim ratio? I don't mean to crap in anyone's cherrios... but use of a temp-on-rez system to exceed the prims you are allowed is... in my humble opinion... griefing.

Welcome to SL!
The only proper way to increase your prim allocation is to buy more land in that sim (using the same account). It doesn't have to be connected at all. Your total allocation for any land parcels you hold in a sim can be allocated across any parcels you own in that sim, leaving part or nothing for the other parcels that you own.
Example: You have a 512 M2 plot, and 117 prims allocated. Buy a second 512 M2 plot in the same sim. You now have 234 prims allocation, to spilt between them as you choose. You could use 230 prims on your home, and just have 4 prims left for the other lot.
Note that land held in different sims does NOT add together like this.
The land has to be owned by the same Avatar, or has to be 'group owned' by a land group, which three or more Avatars belong to and contribute their land to.

From: Ambrose Wollongong I just want to be sure I'm not using up prims I don't have. If you right click on the land and select "About Land" and then hit the "Objects" tab you will see the total prims alotted to your land, the number currently used, and the number available. Very useful! And if you have more than one lot but same ownership, you can also see how many prims are on that particular lot but it will still give you the shared totals as well.

Land FAQs That page has always seemed too hard to find, to me.
