Deforestation question!

A little while ago I increased my parcel of starter land to include an adjacent parcel which had been bought at auction and put up for sale by a land dealer. The patch was originally forested by the Lindens but the land dealer had planted a few more trees to make it look more attractive for sale, I suppose.

This morning, I got around to trying to build on this ground and sadly, for now, I need to deforest a bit so that I don't have trees growing up through my living room floor. I was able to target most of the trees and delete them, even though I got a message warning me that the object was locked. However, one tree - in a very inconvenient position, right in the middle of my house - refuses to budge. I can target it, but hitting delete does nothing at all.

The tree is listed as having been created by the Lindens, but owned by the land dealer. I think that the trees I successfully chopped down might have been created by the land dealer. It's DEFINITELY on the land that now belongs to me. What can I do about this? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Try relogging, it may be ghosted, if not use the return objects option in about land, or if that all fails dont be afraid to call a Linden!
