How to ... skyboxes

Can anyone give me information on making skyboxes for SL? i am fairly accomplished at making them for another 3d chat and am new to SL. i'd like to know if it is possible to adapt what i've been doing elswhere into SL, i make some awesome landscapes and night skies.

Skybox has a different meaning in SL than it usually has. It isn't a new sky with different stars or clouds or whatever. It's a platform, box, or house that is placed off the ground, in the air -- a living/working/hanging out area, usually a private one. As far as a skybox in the usual sense of the word . . . you can't really do that here.
