Resizing linked objects not working

HI- first-time builder here! My first project was to construct some basic shoes following the online instructions given by Natalie Zelmonov for mid-hi heels. I made one pair that worked great, and as I got more comfortable working with objects I began a second pair.

HOWEVER, once I had it all together and all the objects linked, I found that I could not resize the entire object down past a certain point- around .25 on the sliding scale; this is far too large to be able to use them as shoes. The odd thing is, I used the exact same prim measurements and followed the same instructions to the letter- the only difference was that I made the second pair in a different sandbox. There were no scripts of any sort added to the item prior to attempeting to resize it.

I know I must be missing a step somewhere, but for the life of me I can't figure out where -as I said I made both pairs with the same instructions and to the same specs.

If anyone has any advice or a tip to get around this- or knows what I could be doing wrong, I would greatly appreciate the assist.

If the object is linked, the dimensions you see on the object tab are of the root prim only.

You cannot further reduce the size of an object if any dimension of any prim is at 0.010 as this is the minimum SL allows (there are ways to make smaller prims but the size will still show as 0.010).

You may have made a mistake in sizing one of the prims .. it's easy to do :) Edit your object and then click on the "Edit Linked Parts" radio button. This will let you select each prim in turn and check the dimensions and adjust them if necessary. Remember to click on the radio button again (or deselect and then reselect the shoe) before trying to resize the entire object again.
