I was sent here from another fourm to ask the big question: Where are the tutorials for creating your own items and clothing?
I`m not asking about textures. So please, do not give me stuff to do with textures.
I`m looking for the actual clothing items (skirts, shirts, shoes, etc), the actual items (furniture, plushes, decor, etc). I want to create my own but can`t find any tutorials on this. I don`t even know what program is needed or anything.

Clothes ARE textures. So for clothes you will want to look at the 6 or so stickies at the top of the texture forum for some wonderful tips and direction. Shoes, most skirts as well as most everything else tangable in SL is made with prims, using the in-world building tools. One of the best ways to learn to build is to take a basic building class in-world and then do a lot of experimenting! You can find classes for building (and a ton of other stuff) by using the handy-dandy search tool (found at the bottom of the viewer) in the game Good luck!

Yeah but I can`t create a 2 layer frilled skirt with textures. Textures are limited in what you can do. Thanks for the information, I will look into it and hopefully can succeed at it.

There is a lot of information available, but it is scattered all over. Search these forums, and start keeping bookmarks and printing things out, or however you like to keep information organized in your life. If you want to give back to SL, organize the most useful information into a tutorial and make it available to the next wave of newbies.
You need to learn about manipulating primitive objects, which in SL is usually called "Building". Building includes things like houses, but the exact same tools are used to make an ear ring or a shoe, or long curly hair, and so on.
One of the best places to learn the basics is the Ivory Tower of Primitives (maybe not the exact right name). Find the beginning of the tutorial there, and carefully work your way, step-by-step, to the top.
There are other similar tutorials at Public Help Island, but they are not as thorough.
There are a lot of one-hour classes in SL. Use Search to find them.
Also, try editing some of the items you already own. (Make copies maybe, first.) Even no-mod items can teach you something, since when you edit them (that ball-gown, for example) you will see all the prim parts that are used to construct it.
