I have tried to set up my items for sale as 'left click', chose 'buy object' in the drop down at the bottom of the General tab in edit. But No one gets the purchase box when they left click my items! The items are marked 'for sale' and a price is listed. I can use the left click on others items and get the sale box, but it isnt working in the items i make. Help!

You can't buy your own items!

Like the title says. You can't buy them, because you already own them, so you'll never see any of the "buy" features work on your own things.

Thanks for the reply Shirley, maybe I didnt make it clear in original post, it is others who cannot get the buy option when they left click on my items. The left click option works fine for me with the items others are selling. 'hoping i figure this out soon :('

That is incorrect. You can indeed buy your own object and you can also see the "buy" features. Left-click prompt opens, you can pay it and you see the transaction.

I usually buy items from myself that I put into a prim, then I set it to sell the contents. It makes a nice and neat folder with all the things that were inside the prim. :D

is there already a touch event in a script inside the object? can confirm, that doesn't work - just found that out myself...;)

now i've been experimenting with a tipjar idea for dancers that a friend suggested... hmmm, doesn't look like left-click pay works when the prim is attached to the bod?? :\ sob... could make life a lot easier...:) is this a bug or a security restriction?

Wow, that's an awesome idea! lol

Perfect way to get a Box 'o Textures into inventory! :)

There is one bug that I know of relating to the sale of items. It doesn't work if the name of the object is "" (i.e., if the object doesn't have a name).
