How do you link two prims together? For instance how do I make several square flat prims into a one-peice floor?

No such thing as a stupid question. Select the two prims you want to link, and then press ctrl-L. The last prim selected before linking will always be the root (parent) prim in the set. To unlink, select the set and press ctrl-shift-L. Alternately, the link and unlink commands are also in the tools menu at the top of the screen.

From: Willow Moore *blush* Hey fellow Willow! You can either drag your mouse across the prims you want to select a bunch at a time, this is ok if you want to select fiddly things, and you're not around other peoples prims, or you can press ctrl and the prims you want to select with your mouse, much like normal windows files (HA! I do hope that's right, I never pay much attention to what i'm pressing in SL, I just kinda "know" Good luck!
